Pocket Vinyl is a unique live experience, combining the one of a kind piano work of Eric Stevenson and the live on stage art of Elizabeth Jancewicz. She creates a completely new painting every show, which is then auctioned off to one lucky member of the audience. No two shows are the same.
They hail from Norwich, CT and have recently crossed over into full time musicians after getting married in July 2011. Oh, and they're deeply in love and it's great. |

In live performance, Wes Swing loops his cello and violin, combining layered strings and lyrics imbued with poetry with a full backing band. “Like a cold fall night pierces a mountain hollow...” writes Stephanie Garcia of The Hook. “Swing began his musical journey as a four-year-old violinist, developing an early appreciation for classical music”, finding his true mu... Ask him how he feels about his many songs artists have recorded from the early 80s through the present age. He responds, "How long have I been at this? I'm old". Ask him about his many accomplishments and the number of people he has affected over his thirty plus years in the ministry and business of Contemporary Christian music. His answer: "thanks God, now what's next"? The truth is strangely clear: Geoff is a difficult man to decipher, even though he wears his heart on his sleeve.
Reigning from his stomping grounds of Cincinnati, Ohio, Geoff juxtaposes layers of acoustic, Latin and Urban genres in creating his signature, soulful – spiritual sound. Stemming from an era when the arts w... More in the full listing... |

These musicians perform with passion and humor and total commitment to the emotional power of the music they love. Miss Brown to You refuses to be confined to one style, one period. Instead, Louise & Mary prefer to expand the horizon of every genre they play, even while upholding the traditions of the musicians that have inspired them in the past. Miss Brown to You is capable of an eclectic abandon that few other bands attempt, and they are looking for an audience that appreciates a broad palate of musical colors.
A talented songwriter herself, Mary Reynolds is an acclaimed interpreter of traditional & popular music, as well as the music of other contemporary songwriters such as Emil... More in the full listing... |

Pop and jazz styles come together with the theatrics of cabaret in Rae Hering's fresh musical sound. After graduating from Belmont University in 2007, this Nashville-based singer/songwriter released her debut EP "Reality Over My Head." Delivering sultry vocals, Hering melds engaging arrangements centered around her proficient piano playing with the lyrical sensitivities of indie songwriting. Vibraphone, accordion, and horns accentuate the undeniably colorful images in her writing, as when she describes a tumbling acrobat being on the wings of a miracle, or a graveyard flower shivering above the pits of life unfair. Whether performing an intimate solo set or a full-blown six-piece band... More in the full listing... |

| American Double was founded in 2002 with a vision of enriching their performances with works by composers of American heritage and reviving the classical music tradition of House Concerts. They specialize in the violin-piano duo repertoire of the 19th century (e.g. Beethoven, Brahms) and the music of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer William Bolcom, with whom they coached in preparation for their CD release “The Bolcom Project”. The composer has praised it as “great benchmarks for other performers, but also great performances on their own merits”. Fanfare magazine “strongly recommended” the recording (May/June 2008) and Tempo has described it as “completely assured technically and brilliantly ... More in the full listing... | ||

It has been said that an entertainer is one who can determine the demands of an audience and satisfy them. An artist does what he or she does and demands that the audience come to them.
The YAMPA VALLEY BOYS, Steve Jones and John Fisher, are excellent entertainers. They are in their 10th year of performing together, with over 1,200 shows. Their show is a high energy, interactive, fun-filled adventure, fit for all ages. Seemingly oblivious to the limitations of what two musicians can create, Still on the Hill has set new boundaries of originality. This duo uses traditional instruments from their home in the Ozarks (mandolin, banjo, fiddle, guitar, harmonica and scrub board) as well as other exotic offerings (Ukelin, African Mbira, and Tenor & Banjo Ukulele) to create a kaleidoscope of musical color and texture:
The result is a yet-to-be-named hybrid music that simply compels people to stop and listen, to pause in their hectic lives and pay attention to something they've never heard before. It's magic, and there's simply not enough magic in the world today. Visually, Still on the Hill is full of color an... More in the full listing... |

Songs that are so universally relevant and captivating that from the first time you hear them you feel like they have always been inside you. The mystery of Boston based, singer songwriter Paul Phillips, is in how he is able to not only create recorded music that fits this bill but how he is able to translate that feeling into live performances as well. Whether he is on tour with the Paul Phillips Band or taking the stage all alone with his beloved collection of Martin and vintage Silvertone guitars, to experience Paul Phillips live is to immediately be connected to something old, something new and something wonderful all at once."...
