Holly and Steve perform in our cozy living room to entertain and smooz. They will play 2 half hour sets with a pot - luck meal served in between.
Holly Hanson is a singer-songwriter and published poet, currently residing in Sutton, Massachusetts. Her work has appeared in numerous literary magazines. Hanson strives to write melodies and lyrics that come from the heart and stay in the head.
When many of the songs were written, Hanson was a stay-at-home mom who was home schooling her two boys on five acres of a 150-acre farm in New Hampshire. Her writing was heavily influenced by the folk tales and mythology that she was teaching and discovering. Now a nine-to-fiver, Hanson finds moments of inspiration to continue her craft.
Steve Hayes is a diverse songwriter-guitarist who makes his home in the seacoast region of New Hampshire. Steve is currently performing in a Jazz duo with guitarist Cory Wells, as well as working as a sideman in other regional groups.
Currently, Hanson and Hayes are in the studio recording their first full-length CD of original songs. One of the songs from the CD, "Lighthouse Keeper," is going to be featured in a documentary about Abbie Burgess by a Maine filmmaker

About Our Series:
We love live music, but the bar scene is not our favorite place to take in music. We prefer a more intimate atmosphere where the focus is on the music. In our advancing years we sometimes lack the endurance to listen to music in the late wee hours.
Our solution is to bring musicians into our home on weekends during early evenings/late afternoons for a set or two and a pot-luck dinner. We ask for a suggested donation from each attendee that goes directly to the artist. Suggested donations vary according to the artist, how long they plan on playing, and how much they have traveled to perform.
So far we have local entertainers booked to play every two or three months.
All are invited to join us for good music and to meet and mingle with new friends and old with a pot-luck dinner.
